Well I am about to hit the road for Utah to go skiing so this is where I got to. I got finished up with the rear quarters, seam sealed em and everything. Now waiting on the standard conversion kit so I can cut the hole for in the tunnel and get that metal installed. Then I'll need to do the roll bar and then I'll be ready plus some other minor stuff to paint the underside for the last time. So far in these pictures there's the welding of the rear quarter and fabbing of metal to fix rust holes, grinding it down and seam sealing it up. You might have seen some of the TTop places that needed to be repaired (guess what mister rust man visited them as well...bastard!) so anyways I cut those out and got the metal fabbed for em so all I have to do when I get back is weld em up and grind em smooth. Plus put some rust converter behind em around em etc. It seems like a year tell me! And guess what it is a year since I owned the rust turd. BTW I've yet to come up with a name for her but that will be coming soon I suppose. I am still getting the rear disk brake conversion kit as well and hope that will come in soon. I got the money saved up for the brake lines etc as well. Probably get fuel tank, door actuators(door lock mechanisms), dorr handles, and well whatever else my $ will take me. Then I will probably be on the slow side for buying parts till bonus comes in. (Better be a good one!!!) Then I assume will be the rear ends turn to goto the shop. Maybe put 3:42s in it or something close to that. There's a Richmond 5 speed that is supposed to bolt up to the car no problems and run well with the 500 HP I plan on making out of the blocks. Any advise here is greatly appreciated! BTW I plan on staying with the Pontiac 400, good torque already and I should be able to get the aluminum heads and cam etc in a package deal to make what I want. Any ideas? Got parts? I'd like to one day run a NOS shot or a SuperCharger but that will be in the future, but then I want to build the motor to handle it when the time comes. Anyways enough rambling from me...guess I will see you guys on the 2nd or thereafter. Should be able to make some good progress before work sets in again! HEHE 18rs :)
The image names pretty much say what they are...and of course they are out of order :)
