Well its Jan 27th and I have missed a few weekends and updates but I managed to get the front end pulled and all of its parts, the rear end, and I painted the trunk and inner wells since I had em nice and clean. Por 15...let's just say I hope it works and stops that nasty rust! Does anyone want to donate new parts as a sponsor or something? Drop me a line and we can work the details. Well on to the show...
- Frame being removed
Wheeeew that was alot of werk!
- Frame removed
Just look at that hunk in the picture!! I bet you wanna ride in his car!
- Frame being cleaned
After 5 coats of various stuff...including Easy Off, Naval Jelly and etc it looks like I'll have to wait another day for it to be clean!
- Frame's against the wall
Its back is against the wall. I made a command decision. Take that stupid thing to the bead blaster!!!
- Front and Rear Parts
All the parts that had to be removed. They will visit the cleaner one day too.
- Sub Frame Bolts
If you take a close look I'd say maybe 20K more miles and the front end would have taken off without the car. Can you say more $$$?
- Right Rear Painted
You wanted to see something finally clean right? I took the time to Por 15 it. The underbody will get the same treatment.
- Trunk painted
Here's the pretty inside of the trunk as well.
- Rear Donor Work
We're off to the races! Just kidding! We're back to more damn drilling on the donor car to prep it. I hate those people who did that for a living. They should all DIE!!! JK. At least nowadays cars have them in more constant spots...this is like swiss cheese drilling.
- Lower trunk Connector Plate
Here's a pic of the bottom plate that attaches to the trunk and the rear light plate. Yeah yeah that's the way I know em and if you don't like the names I made up you should email me the right ones!
